I resurrected a thread in another forum and was directed to post here..

My name is Craig. I'm looking to play or run some games, I prefer mystery/horror/mythos mindf*** games but I also have been known to enjoy an occasional romp through a dirty dungeon with the right group.

Lately I've been exploring the indie story heavy games thing as well and it seems there's a deep well of things to be explored there. (I'd like to try Fiasco, Apocalypse World, 3:16, Shock)

    Game Experience:
Old School D&D, 4e, oWoD, Shadowrun, Ars Magica, Call of Cthulhu, GURPS

Stuff I have and wanna run/play:
Trail of Cthulhu, Savage Worlds, Shadowrun and I wouldn't mind getting into some D&D outside of LFR stuff which I didn't like the style of...

I also enjoy Board Games: Arkham Horror, Tannhauser, Dominion, Ascension are ones I have and love to play, I have some others too but those are my current faves/most want to play.

    Welcome, Craig!

    (Sorry to sound so... "directive?")

Shock:, Fiasco, and 3:16 in particular are great one-shot games - I'd love to get in on one of them if anyone else is interested (and I can run/facilitate all of them). If you're interested in stuff in that general neighborhood, you also might want to check out Remember Tomorrow (from the same guy who did 3:16, Gregor Hutton), Misspent Youth, and Sign in Stranger. On the horror side, ToC looks awesome (but I've never had a chance to run/play it), and if you haven't already you might want to give a gander at the grand-daddy of the contemporary "indie" movement, Sorcerer.

And, if you want some non-FR D&D action, I also DM for the casual/sandbox 4E Dark Sun game - check out the The Waste forum for details. We'll be playing on the 21st next (though with Elvorix DMing).

oh no worries, I appreciate being nudged in the right direction. I might be interested in the Dark Sun campaign, let me know some details via PM.

I really would like to try Remember Tomorrow, probably more than Shock actually..

All the details on the Dark Sun game are in the The Waste forum on this site - feel free to ask there (in I Have a Question!) or PM me if there's anything not covered/still confusing/etc.

    Hello and welcome!

I'm an old-school D&Der myself. It's great to have you and I look forward to seeing you at one of the games!
